Choosing an approach for under-chin concerns
Fullness under the chin and loose skin are different concerns that often appear together. Ultrasound skin tightening is generally used for mild to moderate laxity and gives modest results (AAD: how to firm sagging skin). Skin tightening and fat removal are different treatment goals, and very loose skin may need a surgical opinion. Your consultation helps work out which concern is dominant. What happens at your assessment
We look at your skin quality, the degree of laxity and any fullness under the chin, and discuss your goals and health history. If HIFU may suit you, your practitioner explains the plan, what you may feel during treatment and your aftercare. If it is unlikely to help, we will tell you.
Most clients find the treatment comfortable. You may feel mild tingling and warmth during Step 1, which treats the deeper layer.
