Brisbane HIFU Clinic Privacy Policy
Updated: 5 November 2026
About this policy
Brisbane HIFU Clinic is a registered business name of Neo-Klien Pty Ltd (ABN 34 104 291 830). This policy explains how we handle personal information in connection with the clinic, brisbanehifu.com.au and the Brisbane HIFU Clinic booking service at app.bookatreatment.ai.
For privacy questions, requests or complaints, contact Brisbane HIFU Clinic at brisbane.hifu.clinic@gmail.com, call 0416 248 639, or write to 88 Allen St, Hamilton QLD 4007.
Information we collect
We collect information relevant to your interaction with us. Enquiry and booking information can include your name, email address, phone number, selected service, appointment date and time, consultation mode, location, notes and communications with us. Some bookings also allow companion details. Please provide another person's details only when you are authorised to do so.
If you use the HIFU Plan form, the information can include your treatment areas and goals, timing, payment preferences, face profile, recommendation and the contact details you provide. Callback and SMS choices are separate from optional analytics or advertising.
Consultation and treatment information is collected separately where relevant to assessing suitability, providing treatment and supporting care. Where health or other sensitive information is needed, we explain its purpose and seek consent where required. Booking a service does not replace treatment or health-waiver consent.
Payment and transaction details may be processed as part of your booking or clinic visit. Where you pay through Stripe or another payment provider, that provider handles the payment under its own terms and privacy policy. Available in-clinic payment options include Afterpay and Zip, subject to their terms and availability.
How we collect and use information
We usually collect information directly from you through forms, the booking service, consultations, telephone calls, email and messages. We use relevant information to respond to enquiries, arrange appointments, assess suitability, plan and provide treatments, support aftercare, process payments, maintain business and treatment records, manage complaints and meet applicable legal obligations.
You can make a general enquiry without giving your name where practicable. If you do not provide information needed for an appointment or suitability assessment, we may be unable to complete the booking or provide a treatment safely.
Access and disclosure
Clinic personnel and service providers may need access to relevant information to perform their work. Service-provider categories include booking services, website and database hosting, communications, payments and technical support. Our clinic website is hosted through Lovable, and online clinic bookings use BookATreatment.ai.
We may disclose relevant information where you authorise it or where disclosure is otherwise permitted or required by law. Submitting an enquiry, making a booking or agreeing to treatment does not, by itself, give permission for unrelated advertising use of your health information or publicity using identifiable treatment information.
Where we have a valid basis, we may share limited booking information with Google to measure advertising performance. This may include an advertising click reference, an internal transaction reference, the time a deposit was paid and a booking-count value. It excludes names, contact details, treatment details and waiver information. We obtain consent where required.
Website and booking technology
Necessary technology supports functions such as operating the website and booking service, maintaining essential session state, verifying bookings and protecting the services. Hosting and technical services may process request information such as IP addresses, device or browser information and operational logs.
Some pages use external resources such as Google Fonts, Google Maps and YouTube. When those resources are requested, the relevant provider can receive technical information about the request. External websites and providers handle information under their own privacy policies.
Our optional analytics and advertising tags are kept off on the clinic website. Previously saved optional-tracking choices are not used to switch that website measurement on. Visiting a page, making a booking or following a privacy-policy link is not treated as permission for unrelated analytics or advertising. Optional measurement is separate from the technology needed to complete a booking. Hosting services and external content may still process the technical information described above.
Messages and preferences
Appointment confirmations, reminders and other service communications are distinct from promotional messages. To ask us to stop promotional messages or discuss your communication preferences, contact the clinic using the details above. We may still need to communicate about an appointment or another service you have requested.
Storage security and overseas handling
We handle information through clinic and booking-service systems and records. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Online services may involve providers or technical infrastructure outside Australia. The location and handling of information depend on the provider and service involved. Contact us if you would like information about the providers relevant to your interaction with the clinic.
We retain information while it is reasonably needed for the purposes for which it was collected and for applicable recordkeeping or legal obligations. Retention depends on the type of record and the circumstances. When information is no longer needed and does not have to be retained by law, we take reasonable steps to securely destroy or de-identify it.
Access correction and complaints
Contact the clinic to request access to your personal information, ask for a correction or raise a privacy concern. We may verify your identity before responding. We respond within a reasonable period and explain any lawful refusal, applicable access charge and available complaint options.
If you have a complaint, please tell us what happened and how you would like it resolved. If you are dissatisfied with our response or have not received one within a reasonable time, generally 30 days, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices change and show the current version date above. You can request a copy using the clinic's contact details.
