Before-and-after photos can be a helpful starting point when you’re exploring HIFU. A few details make them much easier to compare.

Start with the area that matters to you

Are you interested in your chin, jawline, jowls or neck? Look for photographs that clearly show that area, and ask what treatment was performed.

Look for a consistent view

Matching lighting, camera distance and head position give you a clearer comparison. For the chin and jawline, it helps to see matching front and side views. A relaxed expression and a similar background also make changes easier to assess.

Check the dates and treatment details

Look for the date of each photograph, the number of visits and the areas treated. Ask whether any other treatments were part of the plan. Those details give the images useful context.

Bring the conversation back to you

Save the examples you’d like to discuss and tell us what catches your eye. We can talk through your goals and how we would assess your own treatment options. Someone else’s photographs are a starting point for that conversation, rather than a preview of your individual result.

A simple way to compare two examples

Imagine you’re looking at two jawline photo pairs. One includes the same side view, the dates and the treatment area. The other is a close-up with no caption. The first gives you more context to discuss, even if the second looks more dramatic. You can ask for the missing details before drawing a conclusion.

If an example interests you, jot down what you like about it: the outline below the chin, the jawline from the side or the appearance of the neck. That gives your consultation a clearer starting point than choosing a treatment name alone.

Save this photo checklist

  • Which areas were treated?
  • How many appointments were included?
  • When were the before and after images taken?
  • Can I compare the same angle and lighting?
  • Were other treatments included?
  • Which part of this example would I like to discuss?

You can bring one or two examples to your consultation. We’ll focus on what matters to you and explain how your own plan would be assessed.
